Publishing Your Music
When you are ready to distributed a music track, you must
remember, that if you are to sell the product, you must first
state on the cover or disc that it was made using "MTV
Music Generator 2". Then you must write to Codemasters
(stated in manual), and await their confirmation that you
may do this. Once that is done, you can do as you wish, sell
it on the internet or in music stores.
In order to do this, it's advised that you make a master
copy on CD-R, using the technique from this
page. Then you can copy CDs of it, I'd advise you find
CD-Rs with a silver side, as they may appear pirated if not.
To sell them over the internet, you can compress them to MP3.
If you just want to distribute it, then that doesn't require
you to write a letter. You are advised to put that it was
made using the game.
Again if you are selling, it may be a good idea to make a
video, which would be able to view on computer, all you do
is make a recording of the video input, and save it as a MPEG
movie, perhaps with the track accompanying. You could also
make a VCD. Or even DVD.
It states that a logo of the game should be also published.
However, the logo is rather unknown, do they want the MTV
part, the Music Generator part or the whole thing?
I think they mean something like this:
